PAKODIGY LLC (“Pakodigy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) works with clients and linguists across the world, including within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and United Kingdom. This page explains how we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the UK GDPR, and describes the rights available to individuals whose personal data we process. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Who This Applies To

This page applies to individuals located in the EEA or UK whose personal data we process in connection with the Site or the Services — for example, clients, their staff or representatives, and linguists we engage.

2. Data Controller

For personal data we collect through pakodigy.com and in the course of providing our Services, PAKODIGY LLC acts as the data controller. Contact details are provided at the bottom of this page.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Contract — to provide quotes and deliver the translation, interpretation, or consulting services you request;
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site and our business operations, where these interests are not overridden by your rights;
  • Consent — where you have opted in, such as for marketing communications or non-essential cookies;
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other regulatory requirements.

4. Your Rights Under GDPR

If GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal or contractual retention requirements;
  • Request restriction of how we process your data;
  • Receive a copy of your data in a structured, portable format (data portability);
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@pakodigy.com. We will respond within one month, as required by GDPR, and may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

5. International Data Transfers

As a US-based company working with a global network of linguists, we may transfer personal data outside the EEA or UK, including to the United States. Where we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized under GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

6. Data Minimization & Retention

We collect only the personal data reasonably necessary to provide the Services and operate the Site, and retain it only for as long as needed for those purposes or to meet legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Data Processors

We use trusted third-party providers (such as hosting, email, scheduling, and payment processors) to help operate the Site and deliver the Services. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only as instructed.

8. Contact & Complaints
